Here’s a beautiful example of an apostrophe-misuse that will have been on display outside every Tesco store in the land on New Year’s Eve!
“You’re local Express Store will be open as normal” - with the incorrect use of an apostrophe making this banner actually read “You are local Express Store…”!
I’m amazed that this one slipped through the net! And that the store went ahead and used the banner - as surely it must have been detected at some stage before it was distributed around the country, mustn’t it?!
