Special New Food in .W.A.

Contributor Pixi has sent in a real paper menu for our use. This, the front of the menu, proudly displays Special New Food in .W.A. There’s nothing like a spare full stop being put to good use.

However, that’s just the warm up - looking closely at the description of the three kebabs shown here, you will spot the magic ingredient, olives oil and, wait for it… “served with mix letters”.

A typographers dream dinner, I am sure! Delicious!

Strangely enough, this is the first Take Away menu I have ever witnessed that shows no contact details for the actual establishment - not even a phone number to place your order.

The punctuation crime is clearly not limited to the heading! If “marinated” is a singular adjective of “steak” then there should be no comma! “afghan” should be capitalised … and what the heck is “FRESHLY DEEPS”??? :)
